Start your career in IT Coding professions in Canada with the C-Women program

This information session introduces you to the Bridge for Immigrant Women Reskilling into IT Professions (C-Women) Program offered by Mennonite New Life Centre.

Want to enter Canada’s IT industry with no prior work experience or want to retrain or kick-start your career in Canada after working overseas? This foundational program consists of several components: technical training that provides the foundations in coding – specifically Python – and a focus on software testing. This IT training program for immigrant women also has a bridging component, i.e. programs geared towards newcomers to help them adjust to Canadian workplace culture.

The bridging component includes career building, where you will receive consulting and training, emphasis on job search, and individual employment counselling. The course leadership section helps women prepare for work in an industry, which is still very often highly dominated by men.

Learn more about the Bridge for Immigrant Women Reskilling into IT Professions (C-Women) Program.

This session was presented during the Crossover virtual conference organized by New Canadians TV Network to help incoming and landed immigrant professionals re-establish their careers by bridging the gap between their international qualifications and the Canadian job market.
