Pioneers for Change 2016 recognizes successful immigrants from different walks of lives

Skills for Change honoured the contribution of immigrants to the growth and development of Canada at its 2016 Pioneers for Change Awards Gala.

The seven honoured immigrants came from different walks of lives and were grateful for the opportunity that Canada gave them to excel and blossom. The successful immigrants spoke about what helped them succeed in Canada. While underlining the fact that immigrants have to work hard to be recognized, they emphasized the importance of trying to excel at work, being humble and realize that we are the small part of the larger universe and be creative.

The event brought together civic and community leaders, as well as other activists for an evening of networking and performances to celebrate the achievements of this year’s Honourees and Award Recipients.
