Canadian immigrants should know their rights and responsibilities: Human rights lawyer

It is the responsibility of every immigrant to learn the laws of the land they want to stay in. Speaking to NEW CANADIANS at the Skills for Change Diversity at Work 2016 conference, human rights lawyer Wade Poziomka talked about some of the laws immigrants should be aware of and where these laws can be accessed and read. In Canada, every immigrant is protected under the Human Rights Act. If an immigrant faces any form of discrimination based on race, ethnicity or other factors, avenues of redressal are available; take control and be aware of your rights and responsibilities says Poziomka.
