IEP conference in York Region

If you are a newcomer entrepreneur or a professional (IEP), York Region’s The Gateway 2015 Conference for Internationally Educated Professionals is an opportunity to network and learn about the region’s business and employment landscape. With an impending labor shortage, York Region offers a great potential for newcomers looking for jobs. This Gateway 2012 video gives you an idea of what good to expect at the conference.

York Region’s Local Immigration Partnership is hosting The Gateway conference on November 9, 2015 and it promises to provide a great networking and learning opportunities for about 500 IEPs, newcomer entrepreneurs, employers and service providers. 

The conference  is designed to help newcomers to better understand the Canadian work culture, labour market, and credentials and accreditation; increase newcomers’ awareness of community groups and services available to them and to reinforce the value of networking.
