Hundreds of jobs available at ISC’s Virtual Fair
Are Virtual Career Fairs the new frontier of job hunting? See for yourself at Immigrant Services Calgary’s own Virtual Career Fair. With hundreds of jobs available across the province of Alberta and the rest of the country, you’ll want to check it out.
The event will span from October 3rd to 4th 2018. Interested job seekers are encouraged to pre-register at VCF.SettlementCalgary.com as registration spots are limited.
The online fair is intended for permanent residents and refugees already living in Canada, with a specific focus on those living and looking for work in Alberta and the rest of Western Canada. However, employers from across the country will be attending.
“Our main goal is to bridge our people with Canadian employers and support them in finding a better job. We strongly encourage both parties to take advantage of this free opportunity to expand their staffing and job seeking strategies,” said Ho-Man Chan, Immigrant Services Calgary Settlement Director.
This fair will feature employers from a variety of sectors including Oil and Gas, Supply Chain, finance, accounting, engineering, HR, administration, and retail. Combined, the employers are expected to hire over 1,000 new employees in such cities as Calgary, Airdrie, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Red Deer, and more.

If you’ve never attended a virtual career fair before, here’s what to expect. The fair will kick off on October 3rd with Calgary Chamber of Commerce CEO Dr. Sandip Lalli, who will broadcast live to all attendees and employers as a greeting. Then, attendees can browse employers and initiate private chat rooms in the realistic 3-D Virtual Fair environment. There is even the option to conduct video call interviews during the fair, so be prepared for that opportunity.
Enjoy job hunting from the comfort of your own laptop! Pre-register for this event at VCF.SettlementCalgary.com.
