A family reborn through language
Having to leave behind loved ones is what makes migration heart wrenching. It’s a decision Najah made with a stone on her heart. Seeking a better future for her children, Najah, a Syrian refugee, is now in Joliette, Quebec. Learning the language of the land is the first step to integration and the Quebec government does all it can. The children are taught French at school and the parents learn in separate classes organized by the government.
