Celebrate Citizenship Week

Since 2006, Canada has welcomed over 1,500,000 new Canadians. Citizenship week, celebrated this year from October 12-18, is the time to rejoice, reflect on and to celebrate the rights and responsibilities all Canadian citizens share.

What does it mean to be a Canadian? In this video the Rojas family members Juan, Andres and hockey-playing 7-year-old Gabriel Rojas, all from Colombia, explain why they are proud Canadians  “Canada gave me an opportunity to give the best possible future to my son. Whatever he wants to become, (in sports or professional), I knew he will be able to achieve the best and able to go as far as he wants to go.”
