Season 1 – Episode 4

Ice skating is a fun way to get out in the community and exercise at the same time. We checked out the Learn to Skate program at the Harbourfront Centre, which is a great place for participants to practice their skating skills and learn to get back onto their feet no matter what they’re facing. The fun didn’t stop there though, with a trip to the YMCA Newcomer Youth Leadership Development Program, a great place for immigrant youth to make friends and build confidence. And for adults, there is the Stepping Stones to Leadership program at North York Community House, which aims to build soft skills and confidence. As well, hear the story of Dr. Sivakumar Gulasingam, a successful immigrant doctor who embraced diversity and has made great impressions through his work.
